The used-wheel-business is one of Riddermark Bil’s additional sales products. Wheels increase the value of the average deal. In fact, the used-wheel business, having been a small hygiene factor at first, has become Riddermark Bil’s most significant source of revenue in addition to the car itself.

Selling used wheels with a small profit as a nice to have complement to every day business is fairly straight forward. Creating a new multi million business area is another. With the used wheels in store and arbitrary pricing, sellers have trouble with explaining customer value and tend to almost give the product away. Incoming wheels also often lack quality in some areas. If the handling is not correct, this creates expensive warranty cases. There are several risk factors that easily send the investment and endeavor into decline.

The potential is there. To effectively run the used wheel business, business- & system support is needed for inventory management and optimization, simple handling that provides quality products, razor-sharp pricing and good choices for customers.
